Yes. Every star map is calculated from your exact date, time, and location using precise astronomical data and Local Sidereal Time calculations — the same methods used by observatories and planetariums. The stars, constellations, and Milky Way on your print are exactly as they appeared above your chosen location on your chosen night.
That's completely fine. Time is optional in our configurator. If you don't provide a time, we'll generate the sky as it appeared at midnight on your chosen date. The star positions change gradually over the course of an evening, so even without an exact time, your map will be a faithful representation of that night's sky. Adding a time simply makes it more precise.
Classic prints are produced on premium 300gsm satin silk stock using professional laser printers, giving rich colour and fine detail. Foil prints are hot-foil stamped onto 250gsm deep-dyed, acid-free card — the stars and text are pressed in metallic foil that catches the light beautifully. Foil is available in gold, silver, rose gold, pink, and blue on a choice of card colours.
Absolutely. Our configurator shows you a live preview of your star map as you design it. You can adjust the colour scheme, toggle grid lines and constellations, change the text, and see exactly what your finished print will look like before adding it to your cart.
Yes, within a limited window. For physical orders, changes can be made within 12 hours of placing your order. For digital downloads, the window is 1 hour. After that, production will have begun. Email us at hello@starboundmoments.com as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help.
No. We offer guest checkout — just enter your details and pay. No account required.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, our secure payment provider. PayPal will be available soon.
Yes. You can design and add as many star maps as you like to your cart. Each one can have completely different settings — different dates, locations, colour schemes, and sizes.
Production takes 3 working days (up to 5 during busy periods). Once dispatched via Royal Mail 24 Tracked, delivery is typically 1-2 working days. Digital downloads are delivered to your email within 12 hours.
Free on all UK orders over £30. For orders under £30, delivery is £5.99. All orders are sent via Royal Mail 24 Tracked.

As every print is made to order with your personalisation, we're unable to offer returns for change of mind. If your order arrives damaged or faulty, we'll reprint and reship it or issue a full refund. See our returns policy for full details.
Classic prints use 300gsm satin silk stock — a heavyweight, smooth paper with a subtle lustre. Foil prints use 250gsm deep-dyed, acid-free card specifically designed for hot-foil stamping.
It depends on where you plan to display it. A5 is perfect for a bedside table or shelf. A4 works beautifully on a desk, mantelpiece, or as part of a gallery wall. A3 makes a real statement — ideal for a living room, hallway, or above a fireplace. See our sizes and pricing page for more detail.
Our frames are eco-friendly recycled Polycore with a natural wood-effect finish, sourced from a UK supplier. They're chunky and substantial — 30mm wide, 15mm deep — with a perspex front. Available in black or white, ready to hang. A5 and A4 frames can also stand on a shelf. See our frames page for full details.
Yes. Our configurator has a "Share Design" button that copies a link to your clipboard. Anyone who opens that link will see your exact design — colour scheme, text, date, everything. It's a great way to check with a partner or get a second opinion before ordering.
